SANDWICH BREAD “SUSHI” WITH SACLÀ PEPERONATA, ROAST BEEF & CREAM CHEESE

INGREDIENTS:
  • Crustless rectangular sandwich bread slices 4
  • Roast beef 3.5 oz
  • Saclà Pepperonata to taste
  • Cream cheese 7 oz
  • Chopped pistachios 3.5 oz
  • Olive oil
  • Salt
  • Black pepper
METHOD:
  • Place the sandwich bread slices on a work surface and flatten them with a rolling pin
  • Spread a thin layer of cream cheese over each slice, then add a layer of Saclà Pepperonata, spreading it evenly with the back of a spoon
  • Top with the roast beef and season lightly with olive oil, salt and black pepper, making sure not to overfill the edges
  • Roll each slice up tightly and wrap in plastic wrap, sealing the ends well
  • Refrigerate for at least 1 hour so the rolls hold their shape
  • Spread the outside of the rolls with the remaining cream cheese and coat completely with the finely chopped pistachios
  • Slice into 1-inch pieces, arrange on a serving plate and serve immediately
